Hey, I’m Carole.
Welcome to She Asked Why!
I spent most of my life navigating life under the rule of a covert narcissistic mother.
For 53 years, I gaslit myself about what had really happened, downplaying and second-guessing everything about my own experience.
It wasn’t until I finally allowed myself awareness that the truth whispered, and then screamed so loud (literally and figuratively) that I could no longer ignore it.
Since then, I’ve been on a deep healing journey exploring what it really means to reclaim agency, power, and self-worth after maternal narcissistic abuse.
I soon realized the answers I was looking for weren’t going to come from this world. I knew I had to go to the other side.
“I don’t know of anyone who has done what I’ve done nor could AI find anything similar.”
In 2023, I chose to invest $10,000 in a six-month partnership with a professional psychic medium because understanding every WHY was very important to me. I was obsessed with it!
Together, we engaged in channeled conversations with my parents’ spirits, asking every question I could think of about WHY.
Over those six months, my medium made herself available to me five days a week and we covered vast territory. She channeled my deceased mother and father, Jeshua ben Joseph, the Divine Feminine, my soul council, and even my own soul.
What came through in those eye opening channeling sessions exposed every lie I was raised on and gave me what I needed most: UNDERSTANDING.
That understanding allowed me to let go, to move forward, to forgive (I never push forgiveness in any of my content because I know how hard it is), to experience closure, and to feel genuine hope for my future. It also reshaped how I see love, family, and myself.
I transcribed every life-changing channeling session into my three-volume answer project, Talking to the Light.
I share my story as a springboard for others, showing that healing is possible at any age (I’m 58).

When I’m not creating content for She Asked Why or studying spirituality, you’ll find me savoring great food and wine, soaking in the exciting rhythm of airports or plane spotting, enjoying my love of first-class air travel, or sailing on my favorite small-ship, boutique cruise line. I love reading and learning.
I love interior design, fashion, and great champagne.
I’ve always been a deep thinker and a seeker of answers, of deeper meanings, of healing.
I’m a wife, mom, and grandmother living in Ohio with my husband of 38 years and our special-needs Yorkie, Murray.
Life isn’t perfect and neither am I, but I’m here thriving in a way I never, ever, ever imagined!
I’m living proof that healing after maternal narcissistic abuse is possible no matter your age (I’m 58) when you know the real truth about why and reconstruct your identity from the inside out.
